I'm Surya, a senior research engineer in Bengaluru. Through Surya Labs I build websites and apps for businesses in the US, UK, Europe, Korea and Australia, at agency quality and 20 to 30% below agency prices.
You don't need to be technical. Tell me what your customers should be able to do, and I handle the rest.
Fast, clear websites that explain what you do and turn visitors into enquiries.
Clinics, firms, consultantsSecure checkout, stock and order management, and emails that just work.
Retailers and brandsProducts your customers sign in to, with payments, notifications and an admin area for your team.
Startups and SaaSLet customers book, pay and manage things themselves, so your team spends less time on admin.
Service businessesYour developer left, or the site is slow, broken or half built. I take over and get it working.
Stalled projectsDesign and marketing agencies bring me in as their developer, working quietly under their brand.
AgenciesThree fully working demos for fictional businesses. Click through them the way your customers would.
A physiotherapy clinic site where patients book, reschedule and cancel online, plus a schedule view for staff.
A coffee roaster's shop with filters, product options, cart, promo codes, shipping by country and checkout.
A fitness studio member app: book classes, join waitlists, track weekly goals and check in with a digital card.
I'm based in India, so my costs are lower than a developer in New York, London or Sydney. I pass most of that saving on to you.

Four steps. No jargon, no surprises.
Thirty minutes on your goals, deadline and budget.
A plain-English plan with a fixed price and dates.
A short update and a preview link you can click through.
I launch, show your team how it works, and fix issues for 30 days.
Every project gets a fixed written quote first. These are typical starting points.

I'm a senior research engineer based in Bengaluru, with more than five years of experience building consumer software that runs in homes around the world, and a Computer Science degree from one of India's IITs.
Surya Labs is my independent practice. You work with me directly, from the first call to launch day. No account managers and no hand-offs to a junior team. I reply during your working day, and I only take on as many projects as I can do properly.
Not at all. You tell me what you want your customers to be able to do, and I explain every option in plain English with a clear recommendation.
You pay in stages, only as finished work is delivered. You see progress every week through a preview link, and everything is built in accounts you own from the first day. If we ever parted ways, you would already have all of it.
Projects are split into fixed milestones. I invoice in USD, GBP, EUR or AUD at each one, paid by standard international bank transfer.
You do. My contract transfers full ownership to you as each stage is paid, and every account is set up in your name.
I arrange my day to overlap with yours and schedule calls at times that suit you. Day to day, I update you by email or whichever chat tool you already use.
I fix any problems free for 30 days. After that, you can book changes by the hour or choose a small monthly plan. No obligation either way.
